Josie is a retired medical oncologist and cancer survivor.

Brad Buchanan is a two-time blood cancer survivor, stem cell transplant recipient, and writing workshop facilitator. Formerly Professor of English at Sacramento State University, he retired in 2016 due to disability and chronic illness. He has published three academic books, four books of poetry, a medical memoir called LIVING WITH GRAFT VERSUS HOST DISEASE, and hundreds of prose pieces and poems in literary journals worldwide.
